And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothing became bright as the light.

And as he was praying, the appearance of his face became different, and his clothing [became] white, gleaming like lightning.

and his clothing became radiant--extremely white, like no cloth refiner on earth can {make so white}.

Simeon has described how God first concerned himself to take from among the Gentiles a people for his name. And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: 'After these [things] I will return and build up again the tent of David that has fallen, and the [parts] of it that had been torn down I will build up again and will restore it,read more.
so that the rest of humanity may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles {who are called by my name}, says the Lord, who makes these [things] known from of old.'

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since through a man [came] death, also through a man [came] the resurrection of the dead. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.read more.
But each in his own group: Christ the first fruits, then those [who are] Christ's at his coming, then the end, when he hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when he has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For it is necessary for him to reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be abolished [is] death. For "he subjected all [things] under his feet." But when it says "all [things]" are subjected, [it is] clear that the one who subjected all [things] to him [is] not included. But whenever all [things] are subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the one who subjected all [things] to him, in order that God may be all in all.

and his head and hair [were] white like wool, white as snow, and his eyes [were] like a fiery flame, and his feet [were] like fine bronze when it has been fired in a furnace, and his voice [was] like the sound of many waters,

And out of his mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it he could strike the nations. And he will shepherd them with an iron rod, and he stomps the winepress of the wine of the furious wrath of God, the All-Powerful.

And I saw thrones, and they sat down on them, and authority to judge was granted to them. And [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and did not receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand, and they came to life and reigned with Christ [for] a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed.) This [is] the first resurrection. Blessed and holy [is] the one who has a part in the first resurrection. Over this person the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him a thousand years.
