The high priests picked up the money and said, "It is not legal to put it into the consecrated treasury, for it is blood money."

Then He sat down in front of the collection-box and was watching the people as they dropped their money into it. And many rich people were dropping in large sums.

He said these things in the treasury as He was teaching in the temple, and yet no one ventured to arrest Him, because the time had not yet come for Him.

Now He looked up and saw the rich people dropping their gifts into the treasury.
