These are the names of the 12 apostles:

First, Simon, who is called Peter,

James the son of Zebedee,

When Jesus had finished giving orders to His 12 disciples, He moved on from there to teach and preach in their towns.

And He went into Jerusalem and into the temple complex. After looking around at everything, since it was already late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

When evening came, He arrived with the Twelve.

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to Him, “Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

Therefore Jesus said to the Twelve, “You don’t want to go away too, do you?”

and that He appeared to Cephas,
then to the Twelve.

Now there were about 12 men in all.
