A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

Then he cried to me, "Behold, those who go toward the north country have set my Spirit at rest in the north country."

that you turn your spirit against God and bring such words out of your mouth?

"Thus shall my anger spend itself, and I will vent my fury upon them and satisfy myself. And they shall know that I am the LORD--that I have spoken in my jealousy--when I spend my fury upon them.

And they fell on their faces and said, "O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?"

I myself have commanded my consecrated ones, and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger, my proudly exulting ones.

"I loathe my life; I will give free utterance to my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
