And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking upon the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost, and they cried out from fear.

Therefore having impelled forward about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and coming near to the boat, and they were afraid.

And having answered him, Peter said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee on the waters.

And he said, Come. And having come down from the boat, Peter walked upon the water to go to Jesus.
