The Lord shows his faithful followers the way they should live.

"Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their food at the proper time?

The Lord replied, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

To the one who had said this, Jesus replied, "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?"

He answered them and said, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"

But the expert, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

Which of these three do you think became a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?"

So Simon Peter gestured to this disciple to ask Jesus who it was he was referring to.

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved leaned back against Jesus' chest and asked him, "Lord, who is it?"

While they were bringing her out, she sent word to her father-in-law: "I am pregnant by the man to whom these belong." Then she said, "Identify the one to whom the seal, cord, and staff belong."

The sailors said to one another, "Come on, let's cast lots to find out whose fault it is that this disaster has overtaken us." So they cast lots, and Jonah was singled out.

They said to him, "Tell us, whose fault is it that this disaster has overtaken us? What's your occupation? Where do you come from? What's your country? And who are your people?"

(Resh) Look, O Lord! Consider! Whom have you ever afflicted like this? Should women eat their offspring, their healthy infants? Should priest and prophet be killed in the Lord's sanctuary?

They became greatly distressed and each one began to say to him, "Surely not I, Lord?"

Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely not I, Rabbi?" Jesus replied, "You have said it yourself."

They were distressed, and one by one said to him, "Surely not I?"

Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.
