Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

We proclaim him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.
He must hold firmly to the faithful message as it has been taught, so that he will be able to give exhortation in such healthy teaching and correct those who speak against it.

Hold to the standard of sound words that you heard from me and do so with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Protect that good thing entrusted to you, through the Holy Spirit who lives within us.
And entrust what you heard me say in the presence of many others as witnesses to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well.
