But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.

1 John 2:3-5

Now by this we know that we have come to know God: if we keep his commandments. James 2:14-18

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith save him? So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself. But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.

Matthew 7:22-23

This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions, and constant bickering by people corrupted in their minds and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a way of making a profit.

Titus 1:10-14

For there are many rebellious people, idle talkers, and deceivers, especially those with Jewish connections, who must be silenced because they mislead whole families by teaching for dishonest gain what ought not to be taught. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight -- the only thing that matters is faith working through love. You were running well; who prevented you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from the one who calls you! A little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise! I am confident in the Lord that you will accept no other view. But the one who is confusing you will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. I do not set aside God's grace, because if righteousness could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing!
