Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
‘I am the first and I am the last,
And there is no God besides Me.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Thus I will punish the world for its evil
And the wicked for their iniquity;
I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud
And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.

In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.

You have made his splendor to cease
And cast his throne to the ground.

For thus the Lord said to me, “In a year, as a hired man would count it, all the splendor of Kedar will terminate;

The Lord of hosts has planned it, to defile the pride of all beauty,
To despise all the honored of the earth.

“There is praise for Moab no longer;
In Heshbon they have devised calamity against her:
‘Come and let us cut her off from being a nation!’
You too, Madmen, will be silenced;
The sword will follow after you.

‘So I will shatter Elam before their enemies
And before those who seek their lives;
And I will bring calamity upon them,
Even My fierce anger,’ declares the Lord,
‘And I will send out the sword after them
Until I have consumed them.

“And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end is coming on the four corners of the land. Now the end is upon you, and I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and bring all your abominations upon you. For My eye will have no pity on you, nor will I spare you, but I will bring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be among you; then you will know that I am the Lord!’read more.
“Thus says the Lord God, ‘A disaster, unique disaster, behold it is coming! An end is coming; the end has come! It has awakened against you; behold, it has come!

I will bring terrors on you and you will be no more; though you will be sought, you will never be found again,” declares the Lord God.

“In Tehaphnehes the day will be dark
When I break there the yoke bars of Egypt.
Then the pride of her power will cease in her;
A cloud will cover her,
And her daughters will go into captivity.

This is the interpretation of the message: ‘MENĒ’—God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it.

You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.

But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,

For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
