'Atoned' in the Bible

Yet He was compassionate;He atoned for their guiltand did not destroy them.He often turned His anger asideand did not unleash all His wrath.

Wickedness is atoned for by loyalty and faithfulness,and one turns from evil by the fear of the Lord.

He touched my mouth with it and said:Now that this has touched your lips,your wickedness is removedand your sin is atoned for.
