'Charges' in the Bible
Then Pilate said to him, "Don't you hear how many charges they are bringing against you?"
So Pilate asked him again, "Have you nothing to say? See how many charges they are bringing against you!"
(Now they were asking this in an attempt to trap him, so that they could bring charges against him.) Jesus bent down and wrote on the ground with his finger.

For it seems unreasonable to me to send a prisoner without clearly indicating the charges against him."
Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to the deeds he is doing -- the bringing of unjustified charges against us with evil words! And not being content with that, he not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but hinders the people who want to do so and throws them out of the church!
