'Continued' in the Bible

And the waters {continued to recede} to the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.

And Jacob {continued his journey} and went to the land of the Easterners.

Then he lifted up his eyes and saw Benjamin his brother, the son of his mother, and said, "Is this your youngest brother of whom you told me?" And he continued, "God be gracious to you, my son."
