'Continued' in the Bible

And the waters {continued to recede} to the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.

And Jacob {continued his journey} and went to the land of the Easterners.

Then he lifted up his eyes and saw Benjamin his brother, the son of his mother, and said, "Is this your youngest brother of whom you told me?" And he continued, "God be gracious to you, my son."

"{I continued watching} in the visions of the night, and look, with the clouds of heaven [one] like a son of man was coming, and he came to the Ancient of Days, and {was presented} before him.

{I continued watching}, and this horn made war with [the] holy ones and it prevailed over them,

And until the day was about to come, Paul was urging [them] all to take [some] food, saying, "Today [is the] fourteenth day you have waited [anxiously], [and] you have continued without eating, having taken nothing.

and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For {ever since} the fathers fell asleep, all [things] have continued just as they have been from the beginning of creation."
