And, behold, a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed six cubits long, of a cubit and a handbreadth each: so he measured the thickness of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

And from the bottom upon the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser ledge to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the breadth a cubit.

And the upper altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar hearth and upward there shall be four horns.

And the altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long by twelve broad, square in the four sides thereof.

And the ledge shall be fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad in the four sides thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit round about; and the steps thereof shall look toward the east.

Of this there shall be for the holy place five hundred in length by five hundred in breadth , square round about; and fifty cubits for the suburbs thereof round about.

In the four corners of the court there were courts inclosed, forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four in the corners were of one measure.

When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles.
