'Drunkards' in the Bible
Those who sit in the gate talk about me,And I am the song of the drunkards.
Woe to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim,And to the fading flower of its glorious beauty,Which is at the head of the fertile valleyOf those who are overcome with wine!
The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim is trodden under foot.
The sound of a carefree multitude was with her; and drunkards were brought from the wilderness with men of the common sort. And they put bracelets on the hands of the women and beautiful crowns on their heads.
Awake, drunkards, and weep;And wail, all you wine drinkers,On account of the sweet wineThat is cut off from your mouth.
and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards;
nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
