'Eat' in the Bible
I brought you to a fertile landto eat its fruit and bounty,but after you entered, you defiled My land;you made My inheritance detestable.
This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices, and eat the meat yourselves,
You must not enter the house where feasting is taking place to sit with them to eat and drink.
I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and their daughters, and they will eat each other’s flesh in the siege and distress that their enemies, those who want to take their life, inflict on them.
Are you a king because you excel in cedar?Didn’t your father eat and drinkand administer justice and righteousness?Then it went well with him.
“Build houses and live in them. Plant gardens and eat their produce.
For he has sent word to us in Babylon, claiming, “The exile will be long. Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat their produce.”’”
