'Failed' in the Bible

Now it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all Israelis truly belong to Israel,

What, then, does this mean? It means that Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking, but the selected group obtained it while the rest were hardened.

I hope you will realize that we haven't failed our test.

We pray to God that you will not do anything wrong not to show that we have not failed the test, but so that you may do what is right, even if we seem to have failed.

Therefore, since it is still true that some will enter it, and since those who once heard the good news failed to enter it because of their disobedience,
