'Floods' in the Bible

I have sunk in deep mire, where there is no foothold;I have come into deep waters, where a flood overwhelms me.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord,The floods have lifted up their voice;The floods lift up their pounding waves.

“Let burning coals fall upon them;Let them be thrown into the fire,Into deep [water] pits from which they cannot rise.
