'Gold' in the Bible

They will fling their silver into the streets and their gold will become an abhorrent thing; their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their appetite nor can they fill their stomachs, for their iniquity has become an occasion of stumbling.

Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your dress was of fine linen, silk and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour, honey and oil; so you were exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.

You also took your beautiful jewels made of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them.

The traders of Sheba and Raamah, they traded with you; they paid for your wares with the best of all kinds of spices, and with all kinds of precious stones and gold.

“By your wisdom and understandingYou have acquired riches for yourselfAnd have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.

“You were in Eden, the garden of God;Every precious stone was your covering:The ruby, the topaz and the diamond;The beryl, the onyx and the jasper;The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald;And the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets,Was in you.On the day that you were createdThey were prepared.

Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you, ‘Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?’”’
