'Heat' in the Bible
"These last fellows worked only one hour, but you paid them the same as us, and we've been working all day, enduring the scorching heat!'
Paul gathered a bundle of sticks and put it on the fire. A poisonous snake was forced out by the heat and attached itself to Paul's hand.
For the sun comes up with its scorching heat and dries up the grass. The flower in it drops off, and its beauty is gone. That is how the rich person will fade away in his pursuits.
They will never be hungry or thirsty again. Neither the sun nor its heat will ever beat down on them,
and they were burned by the fierce heat. They cursed the name of God, who has the authority over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
