'Hiss' in the Bible

Though this temple is now exalted, everyone who passes by will be appalled and will mock. They will say: Why did the Lord do this to this land and this temple?

Egypt will hiss like a slithering snake,for the enemy will come with an army;with axes they will come against herlike those who cut trees.

ס SamekAll who pass byscornfully clap their hands at you.They mock and shake their headsat Daughter Jerusalem:Is this the city that was calledthe perfection of beauty,the joy of the whole earth?

פ PeAll your enemiesopen their mouths against you.They hiss and gnash their teeth,saying, “We have swallowed her up.This is the day we have waited for!We have lived to see it.”

Those who trade among the peoplesmock you;you have become an object of horrorand will never exist again.”
