'Kid' in the Bible

Tell all the congregation of Israel, ‘On the tenth [day] of this month they are to take a lamb or young goat for themselves, according to [the size of] the household of which he is the father, a lamb or young goat for each household.

Your lamb or young goat shall be [perfect] without blemish or bodily defect, a male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

“You shall bring the choice first fruits of your ground into the house of the Lord your God.“You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

You shall redeem the firstborn of a donkey with a lamb; but if you do not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. You shall redeem all the firstborn of your sons. None of you are to appear before Me empty-handed.

“You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of the Lord your God.“You shall not boil a young goat in his mother’s milk [as some pagans do].”
