'Laid' in the Bible

because they have devoured Jacob and have laid waste his habitation.

Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth, and [the] heavens [are] the work of your hands.

[The] wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I do not wander from your precepts.

Protect me from [the] {grasp} of [the] trap they have laid for me, and [from the] snares of evildoers.
