'Laid' in the Bible

Then the stream beds of the waters appeared,And the foundations of the world were laid bareAt Your rebuke, O Lord,At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.

You will draw me out of the net that they have secretly laid for me,For You are my strength and my stronghold.

How great is Your goodness,Which You have stored up for those who [reverently] fear You,Which You have prepared for those who take refuge in You,Before the sons of man!

You brought us into the net;You laid a heavy burden [of servitude] on us.

For they have devoured JacobAnd made his pasture desolate.

You have laid me in the lowest pit,In dark places, in the depths.

“At the beginning You founded the earth;The heavens are the work of Your hands.

He established the earth on its foundations,So that it will not be moved forever and ever.

His feet they hurt with shackles;He was put in chains of iron,

They have repaid me evil for good,And hatred for my love.

The cords and sorrows of death encompassed me,And the terrors of Sheol came upon me;I found distress and sorrow.

Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart,That I may not sin against You.

The wicked have laid a snare for me,Yet I do not wander from Your precepts.

You have enclosed me behind and before,And [You have] placed Your hand upon me.

Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me,And from the snares of those who do evil.
