'Leave' in the Bible
Why are You like a helpless man,like a warrior unable to save?Yet You are among us, Yahweh,and we are called by Your name.Don’t leave us!
This is what the Lord said to me, “Go and stand at the People’s Gate, through which the kings of Judah enter and leave, as well as at all the gates of Jerusalem.
Does the snow of Lebanon ever leave the highland crags?Or does cold water flowing from a distance ever fail?
But as for the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave it in its own land, and that nation will cultivate it and reside in it.” This is the Lord’s declaration.
For I will be with you—this is the Lord’s declaration—to save you!I will bring destruction on all the nationswhere I have scattered you;however, I will not bring destruction on you.I will discipline you justly,and I will by no means leave you unpunished.
This is what the Lord says: Don’t deceive yourselves by saying, ‘The Chaldeans will leave us for good,’ for they will not leave.
Jeremiah started to leave Jerusalem to go to the land of Benjamin to claim his portion there among the people.
I will kindle a fire in the temples of Egypt’s gods, and he will burn them and take them prisoner. He will clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd picks lice off his garment, and he will leave there unscathed.
And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid—this is the Lord’s declaration—for I will be with you.I will bring destruction on all the nationswhere I have banished you,but I will not bring destruction on you.I will discipline you with justice,and I will by no means leave you unpunished.
If grape harvesters came to you,wouldn’t they leave some gleanings?Were thieves to come in the night,they would destroy only what they wanted.
In those days and at that time—this is the Lord’s declaration—one will search for Israel’s guilt,but there will be none,and for Judah’s sins,but they will not be found,for I will forgive those I leave as a remnant.
Come against her from the most distant places.Open her granaries;pile her up like mounds of grainand completely destroy her.Leave her no survivors.
Leave Babylon;save your lives, each of you!Don’t perish because of her guilt.For this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance—He will pay her what she deserves.
