'Lower' in the Bible

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch."

Simon answered, "Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word I will lower the nets."

Now what is the meaning of "he ascended," except that he also descended to the lower regions, namely, the earth?

You made him lower than the angels for a little while. You crowned him with glory and honor.

but we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God's grace he would experience death on behalf of everyone.
