'Memory' in the Bible
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”
Therefore it shall come about when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your surrounding enemies, in the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you must not forget.
‘I would have said, “I will cut them to pieces,I will remove the memory of them from men,”
So these days were to be remembered and celebrated throughout every generation, every family, every province and every city; and these days of Purim were not to fail from among the Jews, or their memory fade from their descendants.
“Memory of him perishes from the earth,And he has no name abroad.
The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins,And You have uprooted the cities;The very memory of them has perished.

The memory of the righteous is blessed,But the name of the wicked will rot.

Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O Lord,We have waited for You eagerly;Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.
Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of in memory of her.”
