For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a man and his neighbor,
“Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor,And do not trust any brother;Because every brother deals craftily,And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.
“Everyone deceives his neighborAnd does not speak the truth,They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity.
“Their tongue is a deadly arrow; It speaks deceit; With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor,But inwardly he sets an ambush for him.

“Therefore thus says the Lord, ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming release each man to his brother and each man to his neighbor. Behold, I am proclaiming a release to you,’ declares the Lord, ‘to the sword, to the pestilence and to the famine; and I will make you a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
