'Pick' in the Bible

nor let him who is outside the city stay to pick up his outer garment.

and let not him who is in the field turn back to pick up his outer garment.

Therefore, brethren, pick out from among yourselves seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, and we will appoint them to undertake this duty.
