'Protecting' in the Bible

Like hovering birds,so the Lord of Hosts will protect Jerusalem—by protecting it, He will rescue it,by sparing it, He will deliver it.

because Herod was in awe of John and was protecting him, knowing he was a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard him he would be very disturbed, yet would hear him gladly.

While I was with them,I was protecting them by Your namethat You have given Me.I guarded them and not one of them is lost,except the son of destruction,so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.
