'Reigned' in the Bible

These [are] the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the {Israelites}: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city [was] Dinhabah.

When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.

When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated the Midianites in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.

When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.

When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth-by-the-River reigned in his place.

When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.

When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place, and the name of his city [was] Pai. And the name of his wife [was] Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab.

Six were born to him in Hebron. And he reigned there seven years and six months. And he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

Beth-Marcaboth, Hazar-Susim, Beth-Biri, and Shaaraim. These [were] their cities until David reigned.

So David reigned over all Israel, and {he administered justice} and righteousness to all his people.

And it happened [that] after this Nahash the king of the {Ammonites} died, and his son reigned in his place.

And David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

And the days that he reigned over Israel [were] forty years. In Hebron he reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.

And he died in a good old age, full of days, wealth, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.
