'Remote' in the Bible

In those days, when there was no king in Israel, a Levite living in a remote part of the hill country of Ephraim acquired a woman from Bethlehem in Judah as his concubine.

He answered him, “We’re traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote hill country of Ephraim, where I am from. I went to Bethlehem in Judah, and now I’m going to the house of the Lord. No one has taken me into his home,

This is what the Lord says:Look, an army is coming from a northern land;a great nation will be awakenedfrom the remote regions of the earth.

Watch! I am going to bring them from the northern land.I will gather them from remote regions of the earth—the blind and the lame will be with them,along with those who are pregnant and those about to give birth.They will return here as a great assembly!

Look! A people comes from the north.A great nation and many kings will be stirred upfrom the remote regions of the earth.
