'Retribution' in the Bible

Say to those with anxious hearts, "Be strong, do not be afraid! Here is your God he will bring vengeance, he will bring divine retribution, and he will save you.'

So he will repay according to their action: Anger to his enemies, retribution to his foes; to the coastlands he will render their due.

"Listen to that uproar in the city! Listen to that noise from the Temple! It is the sound of the LORD paying back retribution to his enemies!
