'Served' in the Bible

You have rescued me from the contentions of the people;You have placed me as the head of the nations;A people whom I have not known serve me.

And served their idols,Which became a [dreadful] snare to them.

O daughter of Babylon, you devastator,How blessed will be the oneWho repays you [with destruction] as you have repaid us.
