'Short' in the Bible
‘Therefore their inhabitants were short of strength,They were dismayed and put to shame;They were as the vegetation of the field and as the green herb,As grass on the housetops is scorched before it is grown up.
Then the king said to Haman, “Take quickly the robes and the horse as you have said, and do so for Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting at the king’s gate; do not fall short in anything of all that you have said.”
That the triumphing of the wicked is short,And the joy of the godless momentary?
The bed is too short on which to stretch out,And the blanket is too small to wrap oneself in.

“Why was there no man when I came?When I called, why was there none to answer?Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom?Or have I no power to deliver?Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke,I make the rivers a wilderness;Their fish stink for lack of waterAnd die of thirst.
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so shortThat it cannot save;Nor is His ear so dullThat it cannot hear.
For every head is bald and every beard cut short; there are gashes on all the hands and sackcloth on the loins.
“Is there yet a man in the wicked house,Along with treasures of wickednessAnd a short measure that is cursed?
