'Slays' in the Bible
“For anger slays the foolish man,And jealousy kills the simple.
“He sucks the poison of cobras; The viper’s tongue slays him.
“But he who kills an ox is like one who slays a man;He who sacrifices a lamb is like the one who breaks a dog’s neck;He who offers a grain offering is like one who offers swine’s blood; He who burns incense is like the one who blesses an idol.As they have chosen their own ways,And their soul delights in their abominations,
“See, O Lord, for I am in distress; My spirit is greatly troubled; My heart is overturned within me,For I have been very rebellious. In the street the sword slays; In the house it is like death.
