'Soft' in the Bible

“Will he make many supplications to you [begging to be spared]?Or will he speak soft words to you [to coax you to treat him kindly]?

You water its furrows abundantly,You smooth its ridges;You soften it with showers,You bless its growth.

A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath,But harsh and painful and careless words stir up anger.
