'Space' in the Bible

And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by itself; and he said to his servants, Go on before me, and put a space between drove and drove.

And David went over to the other side, and stood on the top of a hill afar off; a great space being between them.

And he engraved on the plates of its stays and on its panels cherubim, lions and palm-trees, according to the space upon each; and garlands were round about.
