'Territory' in the Bible
When we cried out to the Lord, He heard our voice, sent an Angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the border of your territory.
Please let us travel through your land. We won't travel through [any] field or vineyard, or drink [any] well water. We will travel the King's Highway; we won't turn to the right or the left until we have traveled through your territory.' "
Edom refused to allow Israel to travel through their territory, and Israel turned away from them.
Then the LORD told Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, near the territory of Edom,

From Mount Hor you will make a boundary to reach Hamath; the limits of the territory will be at Zedad.
"You must measure from outside the wall of the town on the east 1,000 yards, and on the south side 1,000 yards, and on the west side 1,000 yards, and on the north side 1,000 yards, with the town in the middle. This territory must belong to them as grazing land for the towns.
Of the cities that you give from the Israelites' territory, you should take more from a larger [tribe] and less from a smaller one. Each [tribe] is to give some of its cities to the Levites in proportion to the inheritance it receives."
But if the killer surely goes out of the territory of the city of his refuge to which he fled,
