'Veiled' in the Bible

“Tell me, O you whom my soul loves,Where do you pasture your flock,Where do you make it lie down at noon?For why should I be like one who is veiledBeside the flocks of your companions?”

“I have told you these things in figurative language (veiled language, proverbs); the hour is now coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.

His disciples said, “Ah, now You are speaking plainly to us and not in figures of speech!

But even if our gospel is [in some sense] hidden [behind a veil], it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing;
