“You have not brought Me your sheep or goats for your burnt offerings,Nor honored Me with your sacrifices.I have not burdened you with offerings,Nor wearied you with [demands for offerings of] incense.
“You have not bought Me sweet cane with money,Nor have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices; But you have burdened Me with your sins,You have wearied Me with your wickedness.
“You are wearied by your many counsels.Just let the astrologers,The stargazers,Those who predict by the new moons [each month]Stand up and save you from the things that will come upon you [Babylon].
“You were wearied by the length of your road,Yet you did not say, ‘It is no use.’You found renewed strength,Therefore you did not grow weak.

You have wearied the Lord with your words. But you say, “In what way have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them,” or [by asking], “Where is the God of justice?”
