'Works' in the Bible

“The Lord made meat the beginning of His creation,before His works of long ago.

The one who works his land will have plenty of food,but whoever chases fantasies lacks sense.

A worker’s appetite works for himbecause his hunger urges him on.

The one who works his landwill have plenty of food,but whoever chases fantasieswill have his fill of poverty.

She selects wool and flaxand works with willing hands.

Give her the reward of her labor,and let her works praise her at the city gates.
