'Anointed' in the Bible

The kings of the earth take their stand,and the rulers conspire togetheragainst the Lord and His Anointed One:

He gives great victories to His king;He shows loyalty to His anointed,to David and his descendants forever.

Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed;He will answer him from His holy heavenwith mighty victories from His right hand.

The Lord is the strength of His people;He is a stronghold of salvation for His anointed.

You love righteousness and hate wickedness;therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joymore than your companions.

Consider our shield, God;look on the face of Your anointed one.

I have found David My servant;I have anointed him with My sacred oil.

But You have spurned and rejected him;You have become enraged with Your anointed.

how Your enemies have ridiculed, Lord,how they have ridiculed every step of Your anointed.

You have lifted up my hornlike that of a wild ox;I have been anointed with oil.

“Do not touch My anointed ones,or harm My prophets.”

Because of Your servant David,do not reject Your anointed one.

There I will make a horn grow for David;I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.
