'Ate' in the Bible
She said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.
Then the cook took up the leg with what was on it and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, “Here is what has been reserved! Set it before you and eat, because it has been kept for you until the appointed time, since I said I have invited the people.” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
The people rushed greedily upon the spoil, and took sheep and oxen and calves, and slew them on the ground; and the people ate them with the blood.
She brought it before Saul and his servants, and they ate. Then they arose and went away that night.
Now they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David, and gave him bread and he ate, and they provided him water to drink.
They gave him a piece of fig cake and two clusters of raisins, and he ate; then his spirit revived. For he had not eaten bread or drunk water for three days and three nights.
