'Back' in the Bible
"You may return home," replied Jesus; "your son has recovered." He believed the words of Jesus, and started back home;
For this reason my Father loves me, because I am laying down my life in order to receive it back again.
No one is taking it away from me, but I myself am laying it down. I am authorized to lay it down, and I am authorized to receive it back again. This is the command I received from my Father."
"Rabbi," exclaimed the disciples, "the Jews have just been trying to stone you, and do you think of going back there again?"
Now it became widely known among the Jews that Jesus was there; but they came not only on His account, but also in order to see Lazarus whom He had brought back to life.
The large number of people, however, who had been present when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and brought him back to life, related what they had witnessed.
So he, having his head on Jesus's bosom, leaned back and asked, "Master, who is it?"
Jesus therefore said to Peter, "Put back your sword. Shall I refuse to drink the cup of sorrow which the Father has given me to drink?"
Peter turned round and noticed the disciple whom Jesus loved following--the one who at the supper had leaned back on His breast and had asked, "Master, who is it that is betraying you?"
