'Bitter' in the Bible
For I see you are in {a state of bitter envy} and {bound by unrighteousness}."
A spring does not pour forth from the same opening fresh and bitter [water, does it]?
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth.
And the name of the star was called Wormwood, and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the waters because they were made bitter.
