'Bones' in the Bible
I will lay the corpses of the Israelites in front of their idols and scatter your bones around your altars.
Place the pieces of meat in it,every good piece—thigh and shoulder.Fill it with choice bones.
Take the choicest of the flockand also pile up the fuel under it.Bring it to a boiland cook the bones in it.”
Pile on the logs and kindle the fire!Cook the meat welland mix in the spices!Let the bones be burned!
They do not lie downwith the fallen warriors of the uncircumcised,who went down to Sheolwith their weapons of war,whose swords were placed under their heads.The punishment for their sinsrested on their bones,although the terror of these warriorswas once in the land of the living.
The hand of the Lord was on me, and He brought me out by His Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Look how they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope has perished; we are cut off.’
