'Caused' in the Bible
His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that caused him to be born blind?"
He has been exalted to the right hand of God, has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, and has caused you to experience what you are seeing and hearing.
But if anyone has caused grief, he didn't cause me any grief. To some extent I don't want to emphasize this too much it has affected all of you.
If I made you sad with my letter, I do not regret it, although I did regret it then. I see that the letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while.

Or do you think the Scripture means nothing when it says that the Spirit that God caused to live in us jealously yearns for us?
Through these he has given us his precious and wonderful promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, seeing that you have escaped the corruption that is in the world caused by evil desires.
