'Child' in the Bible

to Timotheus, my beloved child: grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thou therefore, my child, be strong in the grace which is in Christ Jesus.

and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
