'Clings' in the Bible

“My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh,And I have escaped [death] by the skin of my teeth.

My soul [my life, my very self] clings to You;Your right hand upholds me.

For as the waistband clings to the body of a man, so I caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the Lord, ‘that they might be for Me a people, a name, a praise, and a glory; but they did not listen and obey.’

Their appearance is [now] blacker than soot [because of the prolonged famine];They are not recognized in the streets;Their skin clings to their bones;It is withered, and it has become [dry] like wood.
